Radial Array Nodes for Blender

Radial Array node groups for Blender 3.2 and above

Hi guys, this pack consists of several Geometry Node Groups of varying complexity. Sometimes you just need a simple radial array with nothing more than a couple of objects lined up in a circle and sometimes you want offsets, randomness and all the other fun stuff. So, to keep it simple when simple is enough and flexible when flexible is needed there are several versions with different features. Everything is non destructive and fully animatable.

All setups are in a single Blend file and marked as assets.

Installation

You can either drop the file into your asset library folder and then simply drag the objects into your scene from the Asset Browser or you can append or link them the traditional way.

Features

Radius
Set the base radius of the array

Instance count
Number of instances in the array

Remove Last:
When using a 360° Array the first and last instance will overlap. With this feature you can avoid overlap

Sweep Angle

Slope

Start Angle
Start Angle basically rotates the whole array.

Follow Curve
Rotates the instances in the direction of the curve.

Object / Collection
Use either a single object or a whole collection in your array

Individual Objects
Use either the whole Collection as a single instance or split up the collection and array each object successively

Randomness
Move, rotate and scale your instances randomly. You can set the maximum and minimum of your desired random offsets:

Offsets
Offset position, rotation and scale of your instances.

Material
The Array outputs an attribute to use in your shader as can be seen in the gradient from orange to blue in the examples above.
